The Birthing Center is ready to welcome your bundle of joy into the world with spacious 415-square foot Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Post-Partum (LDRP) suites that are designed for optimum privacy, comfort and care.

Each suite includes:

  • Labor, Delivery, Recover and Post-Partum (LDRP) suiteIndividual temperature controls and oversized windows to maximize natural light
  • A sleeper sofa where a family member may stay overnight
  • The option to have your baby room-in at your bedside
  • “Dining on Call” service so new moms may select and order meals at their convenience
  • State-of-the-art centralized fetal monitoring and infant security
  • Patient Touch Technology, enabling you to access the latest information in baby care and medical resources from the comfort of your bed
  • On-site 24 hour Pediatric, Obstetric, and Anesthesia coverage

And, in the event of complications or an emergency, a St. Louis Children’s Hospital neonatologist is always available so you can be confident that your new baby is receiving the best care available.

Throughout your stay, our team of caregivers will work with you every step of the way to ensure that you and your baby receive the ultimate in care. And, when you and your baby are ready to leave, our Care Team will help you transition from the hospital to what we see as the next level of care – your home. We make sure you have all the necessary information before your stay ends, ensuring your return home is a safe and happy one.
