PTTpictureAt Your Fingertips

The Patient Touch Technology (PTT) system is a revolutionary way for patients' needs to be met, specifically in the areas of food service, education and information.

"Using Patient Touch, patients can view educational videos related to their treatment and care, order meals from the bedside, learn the nutritional values of each meal, all with the touch of a button," says Pam Overman, director of information management at BJC HealthCare. "Patients can also choose to learn about a broad range of health topics from the comfort of their hospital bed."

PTT is a convenient way for patients to gain additional knowledge from our electronic myHealth Library. The bed-side computers have touch-screens that allow you to select the education you want, whenever you want it. The state of Missouri encourages all new parents to view the "Never Shake a Baby" video which is included in myHealth Library. In addition to having numerous postpartum videos, Progress West is pleased to offer the Newborn Channel on demand. Many interesting, helpful programs are available to help you prepare to take your baby home.
