Progress West Makes History with Consecutive Quality Care Awards

Progress West is named a Professional Research Consultants (PRC) Top Performer Hospital for Patient Perception for the second consecutive year. The PRC overall Top Performer Award is given annually to a health care provider scoring at or above the 100th percentile in Overall Quality of Care. Progress West departments receiving the Top Performer Award for the second time were the Emergency Department, inpatient, outpatient and outpatient GI/endoscopy.  This is the first time one hospital won the three top awards for inpatient, outpatient and emergency services in back-to-back years.

Progress West also received six "5 Star" Awards for the second year by scoring in the top 90th percentile with a rating of "Excellent" for Overall Quality of Care in emergency, inpatient, outpatient, outpatient surgery, outpatient radiology and outpatient GI/endoscopy.

In random and confidential phone interviews patients are asked to assess the quality of care they received at Progress West. The findings are then presented to the Hospital to use in continuous improvement and enhancement of patient satisfaction.
