Construction Updates

Progress West is in the midst of an exciting expansion. While construction is ongoing, it's important to be alert to the temporary changes affecting our campus.

Get a an updated campus map.

We're adding a 60,000-square-foot medical office building to replace the 20,000 square feet of medical office space currently inside the Hospital.

"The community has responded favorably to having easier access to physicians who are on our campus," says John Antes, president, Progress West. "Meeting physician and consumer demand for office space will help St. Charles County residents find the specialty health care services they need closer to home."

Both the medical office building and a new 40,000-square-foot data center for BJC HealthCare will receive Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification, demonstrating commitment to energy conservation and environmental protection. Construction of the new buildings is expected to be complete in early 2010.

A new loop road around the campus provides easier access to the Emergency Department and main Hospital entrance from Technology Drive. During construction, Emergency Department parking is on the west side of the Hospital.

Changes in Place
To ensure safety and an orderly flow of traffic around the campus, visitors should be mindful of road changes during construction.

Visitors arriving on campus from the north and west side of the Hospital should drive cautiously and pay careful attention to signs. The Emergency Department entrance will be permanently moved from Progress Point Parkway to Technology Drive for easier access for those accessing the Hospital and physician offices from Highway K. The campus walking trail is closed but will be re-installed once construction is complete.
