Progress West Birthing Center Delivers 1,000th Baby
The Birthing Center at PWHC welcomed its 1,000th baby delivered by Kevin Foster, DO, Tri-County Women's Healthcare. Baby Miranda weighed 7 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 19-1/2 inches long.
Proud parents Crystal Raglin and Arthur Lewis of Warrenton, Missouri, couldn't be happier. "She is beautiful and healthy, which is all we could ask for. We feel so blessed," says Crystal. "Everyone at the Hospital has been great to us."
"Yes, we have had a great experience here," says Arthur. "Everyone is so nice and friendly."
The couple opted to have Miranda with them in the birthing suite so she could be by their side during her first days.
Rhonda Allen, RN, Birthing Center nurse, worked closely with the family. "I can't believe we've reached this milestone already at Progress West, and I'm proud to be a part of it," says Allen. "The culture we work to represent at the Hospital is spread by word of mouth from our patients, so we take excellent care of each and every one of them."
The Birthing Center at Progress West features spacious 415-square-foot labor, delivery, recovery and post-partum (LDRP) suites designed for patient privacy and comfort. Each suite includes individual temperature controls, oversized windows and a sleeper sofa where a family member can stay overnight.
